No Such Thing As Procrastination

A random subject popped up in my mind this morning while I was showering.

At first, my mind drifted to why is it that my heart is so selfless but at the same time no matter how much I try to help…for some people doesn’t get through to them?

But then I started thinking about procrastination. I remember watching Eric Thomas videos and he made one about procrastination. As a matter of fact…I’ll post the video down below so you can check it out for yourself!

Anyways…

While I was talking in my head (as if I was on stage speaking to a large audience) I remembered what a former sponsor of mine, Tommy Rodriguez told me. He said “There is no such thing as procrastination, your priorities are out-of-order.” And now that I thought about it…mannnn was he right! Haha. When you want something bad enough you will make it your highest priority to make it happen. Get it done, No excuses!

So, now it’s time to do some self-evaluation…

Some of you don’t do this as often as you should. we get too comfortable with where we are and don’t think we need to keep working on ourselves.

You do not stay the same forever. At some point in life, you’ll have to change some ways, change your mindset, change some habits, improve on some skills, etc…

So many want to accomplish bigger and better dreams but they’re not willing to step out of their comfort zone. They don’t want to do something different in fear of failure, fear of success or fear of responsibility. Toughen up, you’re beyond weak. Open your mind and expand your knowledge.

Or…

Maybe you just don’t know what you want in life so it’s hard to prioritize your goals the way that you should. Many can say they want a lot of materialistic possessions, money and such. But aside from a nice car, a nice house, being financially free and all that type of stuff…

What do you really want out of life?

Dig deeper within yourself and discover what your purpose/vision is. Discover yourself and see what it is that YOU have to offer. How can you make a difference?

This process will help order your priorities from least important to the most important events of your life.

But if you already know what you want in life and still can’t seem to follow through. Then ask yourself, What is distracting me? (Be honest, you owe it to yourself)

Then ask yourself, what is my WHY?

The “WHY” are your reasons for doing what you’re doing.

Some people may have been grew up homeless so their “WHY” for catching their dreams is so they don’t have to struggle anymore.

Some people have kids, they don’t want their kids to grow up in life full of distress so their “WHY” is to make sure their kids have a more promising future.

Some people are always around negativity and it’s taking a toll on their health…Mentally, physically and spiritually. Their “WHY” may be a better environment and maybe help others in similar situations overcome their battles.

There is a why for everything that you do in life. And if your why isn’t deep enough, it’s not going to push you hard enough to achieve your goals. It’s not because you’re procrastinating, it’s because it’s not the highest priority to you. So you go into the “I don’t feel like it” or you think it’s not important enough to get done type of attitude.

It’s all about Mindset and Attitude! Then followed by Faith and Determination.

No one said life would be easy. Start small, write a list and then get them in order. Anything can be accomplished with progress. No progress = no work. No work = you still wishing for something.

Oh! Before I forget…Here’s Eric Thomas Procrastination Kills video I was talking about!
